I got my invitation to participate in the biggest - I think - Mt Bike event in the country today. I'm not getting entry fees paid and certainly no appearance fees, but getting this guaranteed entry and the preferred start is mighty sweet. BUT, what I really like about getting some of these events on my racing calendar is the focus it gives my training. It is nice to have goals. I like to have a few big events - the A races - to keep me excited and motivated to train hard. Check out Snake Alley - and who could forget Finchford. 
And even more than any of that noble racing stuff - you'll never find a better event/festival/vacation than in the Northwoods of Wisconsin in September.There are No Shortcuts.

Sure wish I could make it this year John. Taking at least one year off. Maybe two.
ReplyDeleteFor anyone that has never been to Cheq with the bike Tech crew has missed out. You need to do it at least once.
