Mike J, Citron Rob and John getting ready to roll out. Hit some gravel out 12th street and turned back to town a short time later. Mike's plan was only a hour for the day and roller races later for Kat and John.

John's epic ride - along side the powerhouse tandem team of Paul Denninger and Connie Inks on their custom tandem. John blasted the record with a 5.46 along side the tandem team turning in a record 4.32

ReplyDeleteKathleen should have mentioned her near epic ride and her ride off of the rollers with about two pedal strokes to go - it was spectacular It was excellent day of racing for the team - very nice to see Bill and Connie putting it out there.

ReplyDeleteI think I might have been even faster, but I lost the tandem's wheel on a downhill - man, they rode me right off their wheel. Tandem ride facts for Connie and Paul.
ReplyDelete1. first time on the rollers - ever.
2. basically held on to the railing for the entire race - as short as it was.
3. broke the tandem record by something like 30 seconds.
4. Connie had already raced.
I can't wait to see what they can do at Nationals this summer
