Chequamegon Wrap-up

Well, another Chequamegon in the books.

This weekend Bike Tech Racing was represented well at Chequamegon - Kat, John, and Amy in the Short & Fat with Landon, Bill, Mike, and Pete in the 40. Rain kept us from pre-riding on Thursday, but we got some riding in on Friday to check out the course and the equipment.

Friday night was registration and packet pickup followed by getting the bags packed for race day.

Landon's Grand Entrance.

Saturday was a great race day for racing with great temps at the start, and a sprinkle or two towards the 2 hour mark. No mechanicals for Bike Tech Racers with everyone finishing with smiles.

Kat & John both placed first in their age divisions, Amy finished under 2 hours for her first time, and the 40 milers came in before the monsoon started. It was a great day for racing.

  1. That was some day of racing. The conditions for the long race were much worst than Mike indicated - it had rained two days before the race and all of the flatter sections of the course were covered with water and mud. It was a very challenging day for the Cheq. 40 miler. The short course has very few flat roads and most all of the water had runoff/dried up before our event -whew
The team and friends did well.
