Gravel and Omelets

Nothing to get squeamish about in this post - all about riding and eating - favorite things!
Getting some back roads and gravel time in on the X bikes - Mike, Kat, John and Robert headed west with strong southerly cross winds. Headed out West 12th crossed C57 and then zigzagged north towards the New Hartford Hills. Temps from the south winds were very nice - at least 15 degrees warmer to the start of the ride today from the previous day. Roads were in good shape - that is - not too much fresh gravel.Ended up in New Hartford for a bit of breakfast. On the 3rd Sunday of most every month - the Lions Club in New Hartford puts on a great omelet and pancake fundraiser. Folks come from miles around for a rib sticking breakfast for just $6.00. Baked goods are also for sale.
Located at the community center in town across from what Was the Kwik Star - you step right up to the omelet bar - these gentleman take your order -you choose filling ingredients - cheese, mushroom, green peppers, or ham. Sweet Amy met us for the feast.Cooked to order - you can't beat that. Juice and Coffee is included in the price as well as all you can eat pancakes. They bring them to you at the table - and will keep filling your plate. Some of us have will-power. Are the omelets AYCE too?

John, Robert, Amy and Mike - digging in. A very good community event supported, a 50 mile group gravel ride, Friends, and a warm Fall day - priceless.
