100K of GRAVEL

Last Sunday was a perfect day to get out and ride some Iowa Gravel
Robert Fry, Paul Meyermann, Kathleen Porter, Scott Duffus and JohnAdamson headed north and west into the headwind.
The weather, roads and fellowship couldn't have been better

The roads were mostly clear in spite of all the snow we still have.
Brunch was in Shell Rock
Raising money for the Shell Rock 4th of july Fireworks
Lots of pancakes
We ended up with 100K of riding
The only difficult road was on Leversee Road on the way home.

Map from Scott's computer thing.
Look for many more of these weekend long gravel events.

  1. Now that's what I call a great gravel grinder - hardly any snow and ice - the gravel was dry and hard packed. Thanks everyone for a kick off effort for the Cup O'Dirt 2009.

Very nice post John. You are getting so proficient!
