Richard Gilmore's trip to Hawaii
Start at 500ft elevation stop at 9500 in 36 miles. First 12miles and 3000 ft elevation I got a 20-25mph tailwind . The second 12 miles and 3500 ft elevation I found out that the rental bike shifts opposite from my bike(several times). The last 12mi. and 2000ft was easier but the road was being resurfaced small gravel covered the road, great up, thought I was going to die going down.
The rest of the trip down was fun. Great to back in Iowa.

Wasn't it great! I agree the ride back down was worse for me to. The rain and fog made it tricky on the curves. Above the clouds and below the clouds the view was awesome!

Isn't there also a dirt trail down the mountain? Or am I thinking of a different place where they take you up and you mt bike back down?
