ReplyDeleteI was on my own, but I ran into quite a few riders - especially on the Blue Ridge Parkway. One day I enjoyed the company of a fella from Boone NC for over ten miles.
ReplyDeleteAnd talk about climbs - I did a couple of climbs that were over 15 miles long and my Iowa gears almost let me down several times.
Kat is right - it would make an excellent Spring training Camp.

I second the notion that North Carolina is a fantastic place to ride. The Blue Ridge is a relaxing and challenging ride at the same time. Makes me want to do it again.
