FINCHFORD 2009

Another Finchford Road Race is in the books
And another very successful event for Bike Tech Racing
We need to thank a lot of people and sponsors
First and foremost we are indebted to race Promoter Mike Johnson and his crew.
And what about all the great food
primarily provided by Chuck Landau (Doughy Joey's/Brown Bottle - in Waterloo)
and Kathleen Porter
This race could never happen without an army or volunteers ...
marshaling the corners is absolutely a safety must
There are many jobs that were picked up by our teammates and friends
But - The BEST is the racing and racers that turn out for this very difficult circuit race.
The pictures can tell most of the story.
Working at the registration table
Staging for the race
Kat leading the Cat 4 group
Our great inspiration - Blue - doing the TT thing
Our very strong racer Rob helping a junior out - after he was crashed out of the main group
50+ - 60+ Maters fight some ferocious winds
Carl riding the 4's
Some of the crew watching Chris Congdon cleaning up after everone went home
What a prize this event is - long live The Finchford/Roubaix
Thanks to everyone

  2. Great turnout, looks like close to 140?

Love those medals, who makes them?

  3. Hey Jeff - It was a good race. The forecast and the eventual winds were bad enough to keep alot of racers at home, but we were very happy with the turnout. Mike made the medals -are they nice!
Are things ever going to dry out down south?

  4. What a fun event! Thanks to Amy and Mike for pulling this together. Great exposure for the BTR, the area, and the challenging riding we have in our back yard. Thanks for letting me help out!

I had a great time racing and being the marshal 4 corner #2. Until next year......
