A brisk and sunny race day in Cable. Getting Ready. This shot was instrumental in returning Kat's warm up jacket and camera after the race.
A good race as always - times slower but worked hard . Hard enough for Kat to get 2nd place in her W50-54 category. Podium and a plaque to add to the collection. John had very slow race - a reflection of a very difficult season that he has been having. Ended up 5th out of 35M60-69. He will be back next year with redemption. Karmen continues to improve her time - target was sub 4-hr mark - made it 3:59:21.4 - well done!

Under the big top for the awards ceremony. Lucky to have the camera back. Long story short - Kat didn't get her jacket dropped off before being ensconced in the preferred start area and left it by a stop sign, hopeful the jacket with her camera would be there at the end of the race. The good folks who put this race on - in its 29th year sweep the starting grounds for things left behind. And I was tracked down by the race number on my bike as noted in the top shot of this post. They had looked on my camera and saw the bike and number - looked up my info - got my cell and made contact. Good Things.
