TT ROLLER RACING

Twisted Spokes showed up in force at the Bickel's Killer Roller Race in Burlington last Saturday.  Seven Spokes; John, Kat and Russ were joined by the southern contingent of Richard; Mark and Alijah Beatty and Angie pictured here getting registered.

 

 Richard Gilmore pulling double duty for the day; First to race in order to then be the race official for the event. He dug deep to continue his lead for State Championship gold in the Master 60+ category.

Russ Clark has really stepped up to the roller race challenge this year. This day had him starting out fast and furious which had him digging very deep into the pain cave as he raced to this season's 3rd PR.

John and Mark got to race together with Russ and Richard supporting. Well done guys - some amazing racing - this stuff hurts.....bad. 

Kat doing her best to just hang on and keep the bike upright. She felt good starting out hoping for an improved time - looked good for awhile but lost some time about half way through.  Still a season PR for the effort.

 With a steadying hand on the saddle and continuous pep talk to keep her going; Mark helped daughter Alijah race to a podium finish.

Angie's second race of the season had her heading for the top spot on the women's podium.  Well done - staying on top of it and racing hard.
