Here is a posting from 2007 when Mike Johnson and I spent several extra days in Leadville

checking out the course and getting adjusted to the thin air.

Acclimated? I don't know!

So, here we go.

My first entry for John and Mike's

LEADVILLE TRAIL 100

adventure.

The picture is at the top of the first big climb of the race.

By this time you have a good idea of how your race is going

But no idea of how it is going to end

Some are flying

struggling

walking

It's a long hard day.

The race is two week off

the build up is practically finished

and I'm excited.

Stay tuned.

We leave for Colorado in six days.
