Happy Valentine's Day

Celebrating February 14th with a ride outside - balmy 27 degrees starting out at 9:00am which was 30 degrees warmer than yesterday's morning temps at that time. So working on keeping our "Iowa Edge" - John and Kat took the cross bikes out and headed north to Finchford.

Checking out the bridge - Nope - still not done and not a whole lot happening - a long way to go.

After the Finchford loop - headed back on Cedar Wapsi then took Ford road and then Bennington Road to check out the gravel - not too bad - hard packed with some grit and grip to the gravel. Hmmm - gravel Hundy this week-end? Weather does not look good. Who's going?

Kat decided to take the lead for once bringing John back to town.

John going for it - game on - show down.

A nice 2+ hour spin with stop sign sprints of course that got us out of the basement. Fresh air - balmy temperatures, Iowa country side - Get out and ride.

  1. All you that keep up with Mr. Blue's blog we were trying to get his temperature sign in the photo, but it wasn't working - hasn't been for some time. We reset our outdoor riding bar - we lowered it down to 20 degrees for long rides out of town. The wind could make a difference, but this morning was a day to ride outside.
