Gravel Clinic

Day One gravel clinic - a full class - Mike, John and Kat.

Clinic day 1 had us working on sprints and nutrition. Headed north to Ingawanis - the scouts are having their big camping session this week so kept out of the way of stray arrows and such. Kept on north and then east into Denver. After the nutrition session of the clinic headed east a bit then south back towards town. Still a lot of water standing. 45 miles for the morning.
Day 2 of the Clinic - after discussion by the 'class' it was decided to head west on 12th then a turn south heading to Reinbeck. Taking the tailwind down would mean headwinds coming back home - hence the hill training.....
The view heading towards Hudson -- Hill training?? Made it through another 45 mile morning.
There are 2 more days of the Gravel Clinic this week (8:30 start at Cup of Joe - 3-4 hrs on gravel) with the final exam taking place in Volga on Saturday with the Mtn. Bikes. Need to work on descending and climbing on the Superfly. Details to come - let us know if you are interested in joining Saturday's session - we'll figure out logistics.
