LT100 2008 in the Books

What can you say about the Leadville 100 - Race Across the Sky - what an epic - racing with our friend Lance Armstrong. The day started off warmer than past remembered with just over 800 riders starting and 80 percent of them finishing. What a race this!

An they are off - down 6th street heading for the mountains.

Our outstanding crew in action - thanks go to Bill Allen, Chris Pierce assisting this willing racer who definitely had an eye-opening experience pre-riding the course and racing the event. Pulling into the Twin Lakes aid station - which is the last station before the monster Columbine climb.

More Crew - Elizabeth and Kim Pierce - we couldn't have done it without you - Thank You!

First time Leadville 100 racer Paul Meyermann - kept right on target coming into the Pipeline aid station - which brought him in under the 12hr cut off for the belt buckle.

Fellow team-mates and support crew congratulate Paul at the finish line - Chris Congdon (crew member), Kat (first time racer), Doug Kaiser (best first time racer of the BikeTech Team), Mike Johnson (set at PR here by 22 min) and Sweetness Amy.
And mission accomplished - our man - John Adamson - completed his 10th LT100 in fine form - 10:05 for 3rd place podium finish in his group of 29 racers. What an awesome accomplishment - this is a brutal consuming race - can't wait for the 11 year Jacket with the gold stars - right?

Look for more pictures here later and on the PeakArt blog as well. Full results can be found here.
