awesome! what a great weekend! i have to say that it seemed everyone was having a good time!
ReplyDeleteThat muddy hill that Kat is riding down - and she was the first woman to even try it - was so slippery that you could fall at the top and easily slide for over 60-70 feet and many did. I didn't even try - for some unknown reason - it never entered my mind to attempt it. I mean REALLY.
ReplyDeleteIt would have got me on the podium - maybe.
Regardless, it sure was a good time.

i sat on my top tube, unclipped my left foot for balance, and used the rear wheel as a rudder. once you started there was no stopping. props to kat for her courage. that was a very intimidating hill with lots of hecklers! good stuff!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRudder? Isn't that a boating term? implying a lot of water?
ReplyDeleteJohn
john....
ReplyDeleteyeah, i guess so, but steering from the rear made me think of a rudder. i was just praying that i didn't fall in that slop! :)
Blue - a boat would have worked.
