Saturday's ride found Paul, Jeff Klein, Pete, Scott D, Carey, Kat and John ready for some gravel grinding in 40+ degree temps. Map is from Scott's gps. Headed out west 12th with roads clear, dry and hard packed for the most part.

Rolling north with Paul in the lead on his new X Bike.

Mr. Jeff Klein getting in some quality outdoor training time - fenders and all.

Over the shoulder catches John, Paul, Carey, Pete and Jeff in the lens - Scott is tucked in there somewhere.

Carey - getting to ride and train in daylight for once!

Grizzly Pete - sporting his winter look.

Saturday ride - 3+ hrs saddle time for 46 miles.

Sunday morning - almost before the sun came up - John, Libby, Scott G. Kat and Super Saul met at the Runners Flat and decided to head up to the scout camp. Took Leversee north. The runner and dog did not make it all the way.

Scott G. and John as we head north towards the Scout camp. Scott's plan said 3 hour ride - what ever he feels like.

Libby and Andrew rolling in behind Kat.

Andrew and Ron cresting the last hill heading towards the Denver Hills. Took a loop around the Hills and headed west towards Janesville. The group split up - with Kat & John taking the Janesville and Finchford loop. Plan was for 4hrs saddle time - mission accomplished with 50 miles for the day. Nothing like Iowa Gravel. More to come next week-end - come on out.
Way to be gravel grinders... looks like the snow is just about gone, bet you all are glad about that.
ReplyDeleteThat was a very good week end of riding - it seems like there is always a day or two each week that are good enough to get outside - are you ready?
ReplyDeleteJeff - your gravel grinders look like they are gaining momentum.
