I just spent nearly two weeks on a trip to Italy.
And never touched my bike.
We were on a pilgrimage to discover more about our spiritual life.
BUT
by coincident the Giro ended in Assisi on the same day as we were there.
AND
the same day as my birthday

On another day we were walking across town and stopped in this dinky bike shop.
The only bike shop we saw during our time in Rome
Spent some time talking about bikes and racing and he assisted us in finding our way to an open market
Two weeks is a long taper, but rested and eager to toe the line
