Alaska continued after a month off

Valdez is the port for the Alaska Pipeline 800 miles from Prudhoe Bay. When the tide is out the gulls and bears feed on the salmon that are stranded. I was fortunate to see black bear and her 3 cubs feeding on salmon but no pictures of them.

Valdez and the Thompson Pass area is often called the Switzerland of Alaska. The Weather Channel calls it the snowiest place in the US with an average of 27 ft of snow each year

When you get up close the ice takes a blueish hue.
